If you fit this description the Park could use your expertise to help visitors enjoy their experience. You’d provide information about the sites, the water taxis, events happening in the Park, directions, and restaurants. Grab a buddy and help out at City Pier in New London for a couple hours on a weekend. You just might need to hop aboard the water taxi to share all your knowledge, too. And, we’re happy to train future “knows-it-all”.

The dreary holiday weekend weather didn’t stop many fans and visitors from enjoying the River. Interim Executive Director Amy Perry (center) made some new friends of Dr. Kevin Dann and friend Kathleen who were visiting New London from Brooklyn, NY.

The Coast Guard Band Concert at Fort Trumbull was a perfect reason to hop on the water taxi. How convenient is that! Next time you need to cross the river, consider using the water taxi instead of getting in your car. With the bridge under construction the water taxi is an affordable, quick and fun option for getting to the opposite shore.

This first weekend in operation proves right out of the gate that the answer is d) all of the above. Although the weather could have been a little more cooperative it didn’t keep new and returning riders away.
