The morning kicks off with the walking tour “Agents, Captains, Wives and Crews: New London’s Whaling History” at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Tour will be led by Gail B. MacDonald.
Event #2: 1:30PM-3PM | Buy Tickets
Historian William Hosley will lead a picture show and lecture focusing on cemetery art titled “America’s First Sculpture: CT Gravestones.” This will be held at The Place for CommUNITY Wellbeing.
Event #3: 4PM-5:30PM | Buy Tickets
The “Colonial-Era Stories of Hardships and Happiness from the Second Burial Ground” walking tour will focus on the everyday life in New London during the 17th and 18th centuries by using the collection of headstones at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Tour will be led by Gail B. MacDonald.
